Gábor Kismarty-Lechner will be on the TC-3500 Sprint category entry list once again. The Hungarian driver is ready to defend his championship title from the last season.
The reigning TC-3500 Sprint champion, Gábor Kismarty-Lechner, will be racing in the championship again. Despite he won only 2 out of 11 races last year, he was consistent, and he finished 10 out of 11 races on the podium. That put him 17 points ahead of his closest championship rival Nemanja Milovanič.
And the Zengő Motorsport drivers will get his chance to defend his championship crown this season, as he returns with his green and black SEAT Leon to the TC-3500 Sprint races.
“I’ll be racing in the same category as last year. In 2019, in the first half of the season, I raced with a car that had a DSG gearbox, but then I switched to a sequential gearbox. In 2020, I’ll be racing with the sequential gearbox since the beginning. And as a reigning champion, I aim to finish in the TOP 3 this season,” announced Kismarty-Lechner his plans for 2020.
But the Hungarian driver also ranked amongst the best in the TC-3500 Endurance races, where he was joined by Csaba Tóth. Together, they finished in the 2nd place overall, just behind Jáchym Galáš. And just a year before, in 2018, they dominated the whole Endurance category. However, their Endurance plans for this year have not been announced just yet.
