Before the ESET iSeries championship moves to the next round at Red Bull Ring, here are the current championship standings. Petr Fulín is on the top of the standings with a maximum amount of 50 points ahead of Pavel Gellner (36 points) and Josef Záruba (27 points). In the teams, it’s Fullinrace Academy leading the standings with 50 points ahead of Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra (47 points) and Vekra Racing Team (40 points).
The ESET iSeries continues next weekend with Round 2 of the season. The 2nd out of 5 events of the championship will take place at a virtual version of Red Bull Ring and here is how it all looks in the championship standings.
Petr Fulín will lead the way at Red Bull Ring as the current championship leader. The three-time European champion in Touring Cars dominated at Hungaroring after winning both races of the weekend. Thanks to that performance he has a maximum amount of available points – 50.
But even despite such a strong performance, Fulín still is not in a completely safe place and every mistake counts. Even a single retirement could make things very bad for him. Especially as a Vekra Racing Team driver Pavel Gellner is right behind him after finishing 2nd in both races at Hungaroring. He is only 14 points behind.
Not too far away is also Josef Záruba, who also can quickly grab the championship lead. The Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra driver finished 4th and 3rd in both races at Hungaroring and currently has 27 points to his name.
Michal Makeš and Bartek Mirecki share 4th position with 20 points, just 5 points ahead of Jáchym Galáš, who took the 3rd place in the opening race at Hungaroring. Then it’s Dávid Němček (12 points), Maťo Homola (10 points) a Tom Beckhäuser with Jan Černý (4 points) make it a full TOP 10 list.
As both Petr Čížek and Carol Wittke did not manage to gain any points in the opening round of the season, it was only Petr Fulín who has secured the first points for Fullinrace Academy. Yet, it was good enough for the team to get into the championship lead with 50 points.
But of course, it’s all much closer here. Only 3 points behind is Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team thanks to Josef Záruba and Michal Makeš who have grabbed 47 points. Vekra Racing Team then holds 3rd position with 40 points following very solid results by Gellner and Jan Černý.
Then it’s ARC Bratislavě in the 4th place (22 points) ahead of BM Racing Team (20 points), GT2 Motorsport (15 points), Křenek Motorsport (4 points), Sládečka Motorsport (2 points) and Yawspeed and ASP Lema Racing with only one point.
