The Czech driver Tomáš Pekař has had a successful start to Round 3 of the Clio Cup season. In qualifying, he took pole position by one second ahead of Adam Rzepecki. For the first two laps, the Polish driver was looking for a way to get ahead of his Czech rival, but then Pekař found his race rhythm and started to pull away.
Since then, it was a dominant performance by Tomáš Pekař who took his 5th win in five races. He was joined on the podium by Adam Rzepecki and Adam’s brother Tomasz Rzepecki, who got ahead of Miha Primožič.
Primožič finished 4th and lost the second place in championship. Fourth is now Adam Rzepecki, though he is now losing a lot of points. Pekař is now in a very good position, as he can secure his Clio Cup championship title already on Sunday.
Andrea Trinconi finished 5th, despite getting into an accident with Richard Meixner and he forced the Czech driver out of the track.
