Ferenc Ficza became the vice-champion both in GT4 Sprint and in GT4 Endurance last year. Now, he provided an interview for our website. How is he satisfied with 2020 season and what are his plans for this year? You can learn that and much more from this interview.
Ferenc, you raced in GT4 category last year. We saw you in sprint races and also in endurance races. You became the vice-champion in both categories. How are you happy with the 2020 season?
I really enjoyed 2020 season. I would like to thank to Trevor Racing for the whole year. BMW M4 GT4 was a new car for me, because I drove only front wheel drive cars before. But I really liked BMW M4 GT4. I really enjoyed the fight with Pavlovec (Sergej Pavlovec, GT4 sprint champion – editorial note). He was really correct. We always took each other into account.
You raced in many prestigious championships in the past. For example, we could see you in FIA WTCC, TCR Europe, TCR International Series, FIA ETCC or 24H Series. But what does attract you to our series?
I think this is a great championship. Everybody have the opponents there and there is a family atmosphere in the paddock, which is really important.
What are your plans for 2021 season?
I have some plan, but we still don´t know exactly. I would like to race with Trevor Racing this year again. I like this team a lot and I have an old friend there. I want to be at ESET Cup weekend´s again.
Do you have some long-term targets in motorsport or some racing dream for the future?
I would like to return to the world scene of touring car racing. My dream is to become a factory driver. I also would like to move to GT3 category, because these cars are very attractive.
