Filip Sandström has managed to take his third victory of the Clio Cup Bohemia season. He was joined on the podium by Levente Losonczy and Balint Hatvani in 3rd place, who was in a lengthy battle with Sandström for the win.
Sandström, who won both races at Hungaroring, took pole position for today’s first race. However, it was not so easy for him. The Swedish driver faced a challenging competition – Balint Hatvani. Both drivers had a lengthy battle for the lead and switched positions several times. It was not until the end when Sandström finally made some gap and then crossed the finish line in the 1st position.
But Hatvani’s race was far from over. His car started to show signs of technical problems and the driver slowed down significantly. Levente Losonczy used the situation and made his way to 2nd place on the podium. Hatvani had to settle for 3rd position.
The Carpek Service drivers Erik Bertilsson and Yuuse Panttila from Carpek Service had a big battle for the 4th place, and even Mark Mramor from the Lema Racing team, who is racing under the banner of ESET Race Star, joined them for a bit. In the end, it was Panttila who crossed the line in 4th position.
Bertilsson and Mramor fought for 5th place until the very end. This time, Bertilsson was luckier and finished ahead of Mramor, who ran out of the track in the final laps and lost 6th place to Richard Meixner. Sandi Jeram finished in 8th ahead of Igor Tomljanovič and Yasmeen Koloc.
The next race starts at 12:40 local time.
