As usual, the penultimate round of the 2021 season will include also one-hour long Endurance race. The new GT3 championship leader Gregor Zsigo will try to defend his lead ahead of Marcin Jedlinski. Other classes promise exciting spectacle as well.
The GT3 class has a new championship leader after races in Grobnik. Marcin Jedlinski won first three races of the season. But the Olimp Racing driver absented in Croatia and Gregor Zsigo with Dennis Waszek took an advantage from it. They won in Grobnik. Zsigo moved to the first place in the overall standings after this triumph and he leads with 38 points now. Waszek, who didn´ start alongside Zsigo during first round at Hungaroring, is third with 30.5 points.
But it will not be easy for Trevor Racing crew at Slovakiaring. Marcin Jedlinski returns to the action and the Polish driver will definitely try to achieve his fourth victory of the season and retake the championship lead. Jedlinski is only half of the point behind Zsigo now.
But there are more drivers with potential to fight for the top positions in the starting list. We can´t write off the experienced Stanislaw Jedlinski, the father of Marcin. The returnees Libor Milota and Christian Malchárek will aim to make a good impression. In addition, the latter will have an advantage of home soil.
GTC: Father and son Waszek will fight for another triumph, Záruba returns
The GTC class also will bring an interesting show. Dennis Waszek and his father Bolek will strive to achieve second victory of the season. But they have to take into consideration Josef Záruba. The former star of our championship will return to the series. As in the previous years, he will race for Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team. Karel Neffe with Petr Brecka and Martin Kaczmarski will try to achieve a best possible result as well. Except for GTC, Brecka with Neffe and Kaczmarski will score points also to GT3 classification.
GT4: Pavlíček with Janiš against Buggyra et al.
In GT4 class, Matěj Pavlíček and Erik Janiš achieved three victories in first four races. They will start together at Slovakiaring again and their target will definitely be to achieve fourth victory. But Pavlíček and Janiš had very strong opponents in David Vršecký and Aliyyah Koloc in Grobnik so we have to count with the Buggyra tandem also at Slovakiaring. Ferenc Ficza, the winner from Poznan, and Grega Šimunovič with Mathias Lodi will also try to complicate the situation of Pavlíček and Janiš.
