Young Henrik Seibel from Germany is going to continue with Carpek Racing in Clio Cup. Last year debut in Clio Cup Europe was promising, but as Seibel says, he needs as much track time as possible, so next to his Clio Cup Europe campaign, we will see him also at Hungaroring in Clio Cup.
Can you tell us something about you? What is your racing history and your biggest achievements?
I started racing with karts in German championships, later I drove karts in European championships, until I made a break. After that I started to race with the Clio last year.
You have raced for Carpek Racing in Clio Cup Europe. Now you also moved to Clio Cup under ESET Cup banner. What brings you to this championship?
For a young driver like me, experience is the most important thing, so I decided to drive more races with Carpek Service.
How did you enjoyed move from karts to large circuits and big cars?
I think that racing with karts and racing with cars are two very different things, but both are very fun on its own. So I managed move pretty fine.
Do you know any of the track in Clio Cup calendar? How long it takes you to learn new circuit?
I already raced at the Hungaroring, as well as at the Red Bull Ring. It’s always a bit difficult to learn a new circuit on a race weekend but you get a lot of experience when you drive on many different tracks.
Which circuit you are most looking forward to?
The Hungaroring was really fun last year with the Clio, but as said I only raced at two of the circuits of this year.
Clio Cup is really competitive championship, what are your expectations for Hungaroring event?
I don’t know my competitors, but I certainly try my best.
