Over the past weekend, young racers in the ESET Cup once again claimed their victorious trophies. The trio of Jáchym Galáš, Matěj Pavlíček, and Zénó Kovács all achieved first place in their respective categories.
Three juniors competed in the ESET GT. The Czech team, Mičánek Motorsport, assembled a full-season program for their young racers, Galáš and Pavlíček, in the Lamborghini Super Tropheo vehicles, where they currently dominate their GTC class. This time, Matěj Pavlíček was slightly faster, as confirmed by winning qualifications. However, in the first race, he lost his chance in the first turn, hitting the inside curb and spinning his Lamborghini. Although Pavlíček launched a chase, he couldn’t catch up with the leader, Galáš. In the second race, he left nothing to chance and finished nearly two seconds ahead of Galáš. In both cases, the drivers took one first place and one second place. In the current standings, Galáš is at the top with a narrow lead over Pavlíček.
Last year’s champion with formula 4, Zénó Kovács, is now focusing on the GT4 category, racing with the Racing Trevor BMW M4 GT4. The Hungarian driver dominated his category in both sprints and endurance, and he has an advantage over his competitors in the current championship standings.
The ACCR Czech Formula championship is exclusively made up of junior drivers, who previously competed in karting. While Ethan Ischer dominated both races at Hungaroring, James Egozi from PHM Racing took home the victory in both races at Red Bull Ring.
In TCR Eastern Europe, Milan Vuković achieved first place with his Renault Megane and became the first driver to win two races this season.
