In the first F4 CEZ race on Slovakia Ring, a dramatic battle for victory unfolded between Reno Francot from Jenzer Motorsport and Michael Sauter from Sauter Engineering.
Michael Sauter had secured pole position in Friday’s qualifying and held the lead after the start. Initially, he pulled away from his pursuer Francot, but towards the end, Francot closed in and began to fight for the win. It seemed like Sauter would achieve his first victory, but in the last lap, Francot took the lead and celebrated his first win of the season.
Sauter finished second, 1.204 seconds behind Francot. Francot’s teammate Ethan Ischer finished third, while Mathias Bjerre Jakobsen, the third member of Jenzer Motorsport, finished fourth. Oliver Michl from Gender Racing was classified in fifth place, and Miroslav Mikeš from Sape Motorsport finished sixth.
