Fans of small cars will have something to look forward to in Most. Traditional races featuring Renault’s small and even smaller cars will offer a dramatic spectacle, with the local drivers being hot favorites.
The Clio Cup is dominated by two Czech drivers. Tomáš Pekař holds a dominant position in the classification of the fifth generation of Renault’s Clio, having won five out of six races. Pekař’s family team, Carpek Racing, will have their hands full in Most, as they will be taking care of six Clios altogether. In addition to the regular team colleagues Henrik Seibel (Clio V), Szabolcse Lantose (Clio V), and Richard Meixner (Clio IV), Pekař will also be looking after Libor Horák’s Clio IV and Roman Roubíček’s Clio V.
The fifth generation Clios will have a numerical advantage on the track. Of course, the second-placed man in the standings, Nik Štefančič, and the third-placed Miha Primožič, will not be absent. From Slovenia, Andrej Makarović from the Lema Racing team, Austrian Martin Fischer from MSC Rottenegg, Serbian Petar Milodarović from the ASU Time team, and Slovak Ondřej Fekete from Knapek Motorsport will also come to Most.
As for the older fourth-generation Clios, Martin Kadlečík has a clear advantage. The Czech driver, who takes care of his car with his father, has not been defeated so far and has won all races in his category. German Michael Hulm from the Aditis Racing team is currently in second place in the standings with more than forty points behind. Other Czech driver in the field include Jiří Zbožínek, and Adam Konopka, who demonstrated excellent performances at Slovakia Ring, will also arrive in Most.
The Twingo Cup will also be represented at the Autodrom Most with a total of seventeen cars. Most of the starting grid will consist of Slovenian drivers, with many of them yet to start at this circuit. It can be expected that the Twingo Cup will offer very dramatic racing from start to finish, as is customary with these small cars.
