Filip Salaquarda, driving an Audi R8 LMS GT3, dominated the final sprint of this year’s ESET GT season at the Automotodrom Brno, just like he did in the Saturday sprint and endurance races. In the GTC class, the new champion of this category, Jáchym Galáš, claimed his second victory of the weekend.
Salaquarda put the final touch on this season and secured his ninth sprint victory. The GT3 category champion of this year, who had already secured the title in the previous race in Slovakia, was dominant throughout the season, with only a handful of challengers. In Brno, Salaquarda won both sprints in a start-to-finish manner. In the second sprint, Libor Milota finished behind him with a Mercedes, and Petr Kačírek with an Audi.
Jáchym Galáš secured the GTC category title with a victory on Saturday and confirmed his successful season with another win on Sunday. Dennis Waszek finished in second place, and Matěj Pavlíček took third after getting caught in an incident with a competitor in the first lap. The top three positions were occupied by Lamborghini SuperTropheo cars, while the next three positions were claimed by Porsche 911 cars driven by Franz Lahmer, Bob Bau, and Ricahrd Woschitz.
In the GTX category, Max Hesse emerged as the winner. He was transferred from the GT3 class to GTX with his older generation BMW M6 GT3. Antonín Herbeck finished behind him with a Pagani Zonda, and Pavel Sovička with a KTM GTX. Antal Zsigo claimed victory in the GT4 category, and Miro Konopka with a Ligier LMP3 won in the D5 category.
