The Sunday program at Red Bull Ring kicked off with the first sprint of the ESET Cup, held in the morning. Dennis Waszek, driving a Lamborghini Super Trofeo for the GT2 Motorsport team, celebrated a dominant victory.
Miro Konopka, who started from pole position, drove into the pits during the formation lap. His mechanics immediately began working on his prototype LMP2, removing the engine cover. Meanwhile, the green flags waved, signaling the start of the race. Dennis Waszek took the lead in his Lamborghini Super Trofeo, but before the first lap was completed, the safety car had to be deployed due to an accident on the back straight involving Petr Koukola, Libor Dvořáček, and Alexandru Pitigoi.
Konopka rejoined the track right behind the leader, Waszek, but he was a lap down. Waszek managed the restart well, quickly pulling away from the competition in his Lamborghini. He not only led the overall standings but also dominated his GTC class. Alexander Ober, driving a Lamborghini Huracan, followed as the leader of the GTX category. However, Ober encountered technical problems and retired halfway through the race. This allowed Adam Konopka, the GT3 category leader, to move up behind Waszek.
Radek Kolařík faced issues with his Porsche, stopping at the exit of turn four. This prompted a brief yellow flag period, but racing resumed shortly after.
Waszek maintained a solid lead until the finish line, becoming the fastest driver in the first ESET Cup race. Following Waszek, the GTC category winner, was Adam Konopka in the ESET Cup classification, who also won the GT3 category. Antal Zsigo finished second in GT3 with his BMW M4 GT3.
Hubert Darmetko clinched the GTC1 category win with his Porsche, ahead of Petr Brecka and Bob Bau. Mark Kastelic won the GT4 category in a Mercedes after a close battle with Rudolf Beňa in a BMW. Gábor Tim secured his first win of the season in the GTX category, driving a Lotus Exige.
