ESET Cup weekend is just around the corner, third event to be held at Slovakia Ring

This upcoming weekend, the Slovakia Ring circuit will host the third event of this year’s ESET Cup season. Spectators can look forward to thrilling races with sports cars competing for victory in two sprints and an endurance race.

The ESET Cup racing weekend will be accompanied by several other series, including TCR Eastern Europe, Clio Cup, F4 CEZ, and the popular European Truck Racing Championship. The program will be packed from Saturday to Sunday. In the ESET Cup, we will see the local family duo of Miro Konopka and Adam Konopka. While father Miro will race with the Ligier LMP2 prototype, his son Adam will once again be seen in the Lamborghini Huracán GT3. Young Adam will face competition in the GT3 category from Gregor Zsiga and Antal Zsiga, driving BMW M6 GT3 and BMW M4 GT3 for the Racing Trevor team.

In the GT4 category, BMW and Mercedes cars will compete for the coveted laurels. Mark Kastelic and Andrej Makarovič from the LEMA Racing team will drive Mercedes AMG GT4 cars, while Rudolf Beňo from the Aries Racing team will compete with a BMW M4 GT4.

In the GTC category, Dennis Waszek will appear with a Lamborghini Super Trofeo, while the GTC1 category will be dominated by Porsche 911 cars driven by Hubert Darmetko, Petr Brecka, Radek Kolařík, Franz Lahmer, and Bob Bau.

Petr Koukola from the Orlen Janík Motorsport team and Tomáš Miniberger from the RTR Projects team will start with KTM GTX cars at the Slovakia Ring.

This year, Hungarian driver Gábor Tim will also compete in the ESET Cup with a Lotus Exige, and Alex Tlustý will be at the start with a Praga R1.

The endurance race will have a similar starting lineup, but several drivers who do not compete in the sprints will participate. Szabolcs Lantos and Mihajlo Mladenovič will alternate in the LEMA Racing team’s Mercedes. Rudolf Beňo will be joined by Richard Gonda in a BMW. Radim Adámek and Miro Horňák will race a Porsche 911 for the Aditis Racing team. Viktor Mráz and Maťo Homola will once again compete for victory with KTM GTX cars.

The first sprint starts on Saturday at 13:50, with the endurance race scheduled for 16:55. On Sunday, the second sprint begins at 14:20.
