The penultimate race of this season’s ESET Cup offered a packed grid full of sports prototypes and GT cars. Petr Fulín claimed victory in the GT3 category, while Adam Konopka triumphed in the GTX class.
The traditional ESET Cup starting grid was enhanced by sports prototypes and cars from the P9 Challenge series. A total of 26 special cars took to the track, providing spectators with a unique spectacle. Miro Konopka maintained his lead in the ESET Cup, with Petr Fulín following closely as the leader in the GT3 category.
Konopka cruised to an unchallenged win in the D5 class, with Alex Tlustý finishing second in the same category. Petr Fulín was equally dominant in the GT3 class with his Audi, taking the win ahead of Antal Zsiga in a BMW M4 GT3 and Martin Hudec, also in an Audi.
A thrilling battle unfolded between Bronislav Formánek and Adam Konopka. Although their Lamborghini cars were in different categories, they fought for every inch of the track. Adam Konopka secured victory in the GTX category, finishing ahead of Petr Koukola with a KTM and Gábor Tim with a Lotus Elise.
Josef Záruba ultimately won the GTC category, with his teammate Bronislav Formánek finishing second, and Dennis Waszek in third. Bob Bau took the victory in the GTC1 category, which is reserved for Porsche cars.
In the GT4 category, a fierce battle took place between Adam Lacko in a Mercedes AMG GT4 and this year’s GT4 champion, Rudolf Beňo, in a BMW GT4. Their time gap was down to mere tenths of a second, but despite Beňo being visibly faster, he couldn’t find a way past Lacko in the final stages of the race. Ivan Hrženjak finished third in the GT4 category.
