On November 17–18, the Formula Star competition took place at the Autodrom Most, drawing significant public interest. Nearly 40 young racers, aged 14 and up, gathered at the North Bohemian circuit to compete in a series of challenges over two days. Ultimately, the winner was Stefan Treneski from Macedonia.
This unique event was organized by promoter Josef Křenek and the F4 CEZ Academy. Applications for Formula Star came not only from the Czech Republic but also from abroad, giving the event international prestige. Among the participants were young drivers from Hungary, Macedonia, Slovenia, and even as far away as Sweden.
All competitors were divided into four groups, each led by mentors Helena Chovancová, Jana Adámková, Adam Kout, and Aleš Sirný. These mentors guided their groups through various challenges. Participants had to conduct English-language interviews on camera with Tomáš Vacín and Martin Knápek. They also underwent physical fitness tests supervised by Jindřiška Fialová, which included sprints, planks, burpees and running. A theoretical knowledge test with nearly 30 questions on track etiquette and safety was also part of the competition.
The most popular activities on the first day were karting and racing simulator sessions. Karting took place at the Carbonia Racing Arena in Most, where competitors aimed to set the fastest lap time. A similar challenge awaited them on the Racingfuelsimulators, with standings announced at the end of the first day.
On Monday, participants faced two final challenges to determine the top ten finalists. First, they completed a five-minute qualifying session and a ten-minute race on the Most circuit in a Formula 4 simulator. Then, they moved to the parking area to tackle a slalom course in a race car Renault Twingo. Those without a driver’s license participated in basic car control training with an instructor on the polygon.
Based on their cumulative performance, ten finalists were selected. They were divided into three groups and raced in a Renault Twingo at the Autodrom Most circuit. Their goal was to set the fastest lap time without crossing or touching the white lines on the edge of the track. In a tightly contested finale, Stefan Treneski from Macedonia emerged as the overall winner, earning a full race season in the 2025 Twingo Cup.
Runners-up Martin Toth, Jakub Lavický, Nils Lilja and Tomáš Čapek secured the opportunity to participate in one Twingo Cup race in 2025. Meanwhile, Jakub Vondráček, Oliver Gmuc, Karolína Průšová, Michal Kudr, and Taj Kovačič, who placed sixth to tenth, were awarded 10 hours on the Racingfuelsimulators F4 CEZ Academy at Lukamotorsport.
