A brand-new racing team Audi Sports Team Slovakia plans to race not just at home, but also in Europe. The team is led by a well-known racing duo Jirko Malchárek and his son Christian Malchárek.
They both have a plenty of experience in racing. Last year they participated in ESET V4 Cup with BMW M6 GT3 car. For 2018 they have decided to go with AUDI R8 LMS (2018) for their own team.
A highly experienced team GT Sport Technology together with Karl Neffe will run the technical side of things. The biggest Slovakian partner of Audi, Audi Centrum Bratislava has already offered GT Sport Technology its facilities. Karl Neffe’s team was already working with Malchárek family last year.
The plan for the first season is to learn everything about the car. Audi Sports Team Slovakia plans to take part in two ESET V4 Cup events and some Blancpain GT Series events.
Also, the team has already unveiled its racing livery for 2018. The car should be officially shown for the first time in March.
