A hot weekend for ESET MMSR in Croatia

For the very first time, the ESET MMSR championship is going to Grobnik, Croatia which hosts the third round of the season. This circuit lies nearby a port city Rijek and it will be a difficult challenge for everybody, as most of the drivers have not had an opportunity to race there before. Another difficult comes in a form of extremely high temperatures which should attack 40°C.

Grobnik circuit has seen some big improvements over the winter including new kerbs which affects an ideal line and the character of this 4,168 metres long track. There are fifteen corners in total that drivers will have to face in both ESET Sprint and ESET Endurances races with their amazing GT3 cars. Marcin Jedlinski in Audi R8 GT3 is currently leading the overall standings, but Richard Chlad jr. is not far behind with the same car. A big battle is expected also in the GT3 Trophy between Tomáš Erdélyi and Lubomír Jakubík, and GTC where Josef Záruba aims to win with his Lamborghini GTC.

Also, several Croatian drivers are set to participate who will have an experience of knowing Grobnik. They will race especially in the TCR category, which is dominated this year by Milovan Vesnič. Of course, fans are also going to see many different machines including single-seaters and touring cars (Clio Cup, Cruze Cup, Twingo Cup).

First, free practice sessions start on Thursday, 2nd August, however, the most programme is on the weekend itself. On both, Saturday and Sunday, there will be qualifying sessions in the morning and races in the afternoon.
