The first
TWC race of the weekend brought the first 2019 win to Levente Losonczy. The
Hungarian driver was unbeatable in TWC1 category, where he finished ahead of
Petr Majer and Alfred Fischer. Michal Malíček won in TWC2, as the single entry,
and Dennis Bröker took the glory in TWC3.
Before this weekend, Michal Makeš from Mičánek Motorsport had won 6 races in
the TWC1 category and he seemed unstoppable. However, the Slovakia Ring offered
a different story as Makeš did not even finish the race after a collision with
Dano Dangl. This helped Levente Losonczy, who then could celebrate his first
win of the season.
While Michal Makeš‘ series of victories has been finally stopped, his teammate
continues his series of podium finishes. Petr Majer finished 2nd in
the first TWC race of the weekend.
The TWC1 podium offered three drivers of three different nationalities, as the
Hungarian and Czech drivers were joined by an Austrian – Alfred Fischer, who
crossed the line in 3rd place.
Michal
Malíček was the only TWC2 entry which gave him an easy win.
In the TWC3 category with Chevrolet Cruze cars, it was a great day for Dennis
Bröker, who managed to beat his great rival Wolfgang Kriegel and Sven
Grossmann. Kriegel might have arrived in Slovakia as a championship leader, but
on Saturday he had to settle for only the 2nd place.
