The race weekend at Slovakia Ring changed the championship standings for Chevrolet Cruze Eurocup as Dennis Bröker has become a new leader.
As the ESET V4 Cup continued its 2019 season at Slovakia Ring last weekend, the Chevrolet Cruze Eurocup series offered four entries at Slovak race track.
Dennis Bröker and Wolfgang Kriegl took the winner‘s trophies at Slovakia. While the former celebrated a victory on Saturday, the later crossed the finish line in the 1st place on the next day.
However, Bröker had an even bigger reason to be happy as he took the championship lead with his 50 points.
The Saturday‘s winner managed to jump ahead of his compatriot Andreas Eichhorn, who missed the Slovakia Ring event and now is in 2nd place. He is 10 points behind Bröker.
But Eichhorn now also needs to look behind as Wolfgang Kriegl, who won at Slovakia Ring on Sunday, has accumulated 38 points in total, which puts him just 2 points behind Eichhorn.
Then there are Christoph Pflügler in 4th place with 33 points, ahead of Sven Grossmann with 20 points, Patrick Tiefenbacher with 13 points and Marcus Zeiner with 11 points. Nicolas Hillebrand is 8th with 10 points to his name, with Thies Ahrens with 8 points in 9th and Nico Schönberg is in 10th position with just 8 points.
There is only one more round left for the Chevrolet Cruze Eurocup. However, this time it won‘t be a part of the ESET V4 Cup series as the final race of the season takes place on a weekend from 11 to 12 October at Oschersleben in Germany.
