Mark Škulj has the best position heading into the final round of the Twingo Cup season as he leads the championship standings by 58 points.
The Renault Twingo Cup championship looks pretty straightforward heading into the final round of the ESET V4 Cup season at Hungaroring. Mark Škulj arrives in Hungary as the championship leader with a huge gap of 58 points to the 2nd placed Jaka Marinšek. There are 60 points in place, which makes it highly unlikely that the Slovenian driver would lose the championship.
Marinšek, also from Slovenia, is the only driver with at least a theoretical chance. Niko Stefančič, who is 3rd in the standings, is already out of the contention, just like the rest of the field.
However, there will be a new champion. Škulj or Marinšek will replace Tomaž Trček, who won the last year‘s championship, despite taking a victory in only one race.
