This year‘s Formula 3 champion Tom Beckhäuser has been handed over the L21 Challenge Cup trophy. The ceremony took place on second November weekend at the Racing Expo exhibition in Prague. The Czech driver then shared his thoughts for the championship‘s official website.
Tom, congratulations on winning this trophy. What can you tell us about the season?
First of all, thank you. I’m very surprised because I didn’t expect anything like this. For me, it was a really successful season. We won most of the races and we managed to improve on every weekend. It’s great to see such progress. We had the pace since the beginning, but there were still some things to improve and we did that. I’m very happy with this year.
How have you changed as a driver?
I’ve gained a lot of experience with the F3 car and also with circuits, though probably I won’t be visiting some of them so often. However, Hungaroring, for example, is a track that I might visit in the future again. So I really appreciate all that experience.
In the past, this trophy has been won by Formula drivers like Chris Höher (2013 and 2015) or Bartolomiej Mirecki (2017).
