The final race of the ESET Cup at Slovakia Ring in the GT3 category was claimed by local driver Antal Zsigo, who brought his BMW M4 GT3 to victory. Fellow locals Miro Konopka and Adam Konopka also celebrated.
Miro Konopka, driving a Ligier LMP2, and Adam Konopka, in a Lamborghini Huracan, started from the front row. The rolling start was best handled by Adam, who took the lead ahead of Miro, Dennis Waszek in a Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and Antal Zsigo in his BMW M4 GT3.
Antal Zsigo moved up to third place overall in the first lap, while Miro Konopka overtook his son around the same time to take the overall lead in the race. The top four drivers held the leading positions in their respective categories. Even though Zsigo put pressure on Adam Konopka, any change in their order wouldn’t have affected the results, as Konopka was leading the GTX category and Zsigo was leading GT3. Both dominated their classifications in the 25-minute sprint.
Adam Konopka won the GTX category ahead of Tomáš Miniberger in the RTR Projects KTM GTX, followed by Petr Koukola and Viktor Mráz, also in KTMs. Fifth in GTX was Gábor Tim with a Lotus Exige.
In the GT3 category, the winner was Antal Zsigo from Racing Trevor, and Dennis Waszek from GT2 Motorsport dominated the GTC category. In GTC1 for Porsche 911 cars, Petr Brecka from GT Sports took the laurels ahead of Hubert Darmetek from PTT Racing. Third was Radek Kolařík from Šenkýř Motorsport, followed by Franz Lahmer and Bob Bau from Kogelbauer Motorsport.
In the GT4 category, another triumph was celebrated by Rudolf Beňo with his BMW M4 GT4, ahead of Andrej Makarovic with a Mercedes AMG GT4. The D5 category winner was Miro Konopka with a Ligier, and Alex Tlustý finished second with a Praga R1.
