This year’s Renault Clio Cup season continues in Brno with another two races. And the main question is – can anybody stop Tomáš Pekař?
The upcoming race weekend at Automotodrom Brno is going to also offer two races of the Renault Clio Cup category. One on Saturday, and the other one on Sunday.
Tomáš Pekař is starting the race weekend from the best position. The Carpek Racing driver has won four out of four races so far and he leads the championship with 100 points. And in Brno, if he remains in the lead by more than 50 points by the end of the weekend, he can also celebrate a championship title. And it is very much possible, as he is currently leading ahead of Mark Mramor by 58 points.
However, the last step is usually the toughest one and that can apply to Pekař as well. There are many drivers on the grid who are hungry for success.
One of them is Mramor. The Slovenian driver has shown that during the opening race of the season at Grobnik already, where the Carpek Racing driver had a really tough time.
Then there is also Pawel Wysmyk. The Polish driver currently holds 3rd place in the standings, and he has also shown a great pace. And then there are also brothers Adam and Tomasz Rzepecki, Levente Losonczy or Zoran Poglajen.
Also, it is worth watching Miha Primožič or Thomas Fischer. While the former has not scored any points yet and Fischer is preparing for this year’s debut in our series, both have been successful at Brno last year. Both drivers finished in 3rd place and Primožič also took 3rd place in the championship.
And the entry list also features a daughter of a former European Truck Racing champion, Yasmeen Koloc. The 16-year-old girl is going to try to score more points. She has currently 3 points after a race weekend at Slovakia Ring three weeks ago.
