Richard Chlad jr. added another dominant victory. After his great performance in the GT3 Sprint race, he was also unstoppable in the one-hour long Endurance race where he also won the championship. He was joined on the podium by Libor Milota – Daniel Skalický and Gregor Zsigo – Denis Waszek. In the GTC category, the glory goes to Filip Sládečka who won the race and the championship as well, while in D4-3500 it was a big triumph for Jáchym Galáš who was also crowned as a champion.
It does not happen very often that a racing driver can win two championship titles in one day. But that is exactly what Richard Chlad jr. managed to do on the 2nd weekend in October. First, he has been crowned a GT3 Sprint champion, and now he has also won the Endurance title.
The K+K Racing Team driver put together a flawless performance to win the final round of the season and jumped ahead of Mateusz Lisowski and Marcin Jedlinski in the championship standings. And both drivers are not present at Hungaroring this weekend.
„My biggest competitor Marcin Jedlinski is not racing this weekend, but there are still some other pretty fast guys so it was not an easy race. I had a good pace since the beginning, putting one fast lap after another. Today, we close another successful season with two championship titles,“ said Chlad jr.
Libor Milota with Daniel Skalický finished 2nd in the final race of the season ahead of Gregor Zsigo and Denis Waszek.
In the GTC category, it was a win for Filip Sládečka, who just like Chlad jr. also won the championship title. The Slovak driver finished 4th in the overall classification. However, he was also trying to get on the podium. He even managed to hold 2nd place in the opening stint of the race, but the pitstops did not go well for the #69 Lamborghini Huracán EVO.
“Finally I enjoyed some racing. The guys drove cars with a bit different specification, but thanks to our fast car we managed to keep up with them. I think we had our best race of the season today and I’ve really enjoyed it,” said Sládečka.
Apart from Sládečka, also Mičánek Motorsport team made it to the podium thanks to Bronislav Formánek and Jiří Mičánek.
Also in the D4-3500 category, the winner and the championship winner is the same person. In this case, it is Jáchym Galáš. The GT2 Motorsport driver was joined on the podium by Miro Horňák with Radim Adámek, who finished in 2nd place, ahead of Csaba Tóth and Gábor Kismarty-Lechner in the 3rd position.
