Richard Chlad jr. took another GT Sprint victory on Sunday morning, confirming his championship win. Libor Milota and Samuel Sládečka joined him on the podium, with the latter also winning the race in the GTC category which also makes him a championship winner. József Merk took another win in the TC-3500 category, but Gábor Kismarty-Lechner is the new champion.
While Richard Chlad jr. could celebrate his GT3 Sprint championship win already yesterday, it was not enough for him. The K+K Racing Team driver was not ready to slow down and he took another pole position on Saturday afternoon. Samuel Sládečka qualified in the 2nd place with a GT3 car ahead of Libor Milota.
But at the beginning of the 2nd Sprint race, the newly-crowned champion struggled off the line. Milota had a perfect start and moved from 3rd place into the lead. But the GT2 Motorsport driver still has to wait for his first-ever victory, as Chlad jr. retook the lead in the Lap 2. Chlad jr. was unstoppable after that and with more than 4-second lead he took another win this weekend.
Libor Milota had to settle for the 2nd place, followed by Samuel Sládečka in 3rd position. But the Slovak driver had another good reason to be happy – he took a win in the GTC class where he has also become a this year‘s champion. Kurt Wagner finished 4th and took 2nd and last place in the GTC category, as Bronislav Formánek did not race.
But it was not only about GT3 and GTC categories. Just like yesterday, József Merk took a win in the TC-3500 category ahead of Csaba Tóth and Gábor Kismarty-Lechner. But even that 3rd place put Kismarty-Lechner into a great mood as he confirmed his championship title as well.
