Martin Kadlečík from the Křenek Motorsport team continues his series of excellent results in the Twingo Cup and showed in Grobnik that he is definitely suited for circuit racing.
After years in autocross, Kadlečík focused on circuit racing. The very balanced Twingo Cup became the gateway to a new world for him, which he entered with the support of the ESET RaceStar project for young and talented racers.
Although the opening event of the season at Hungaroring did not go as expected and the team dealt with engine problems, Kadlečík raced much better in the following races. During the debut at the Red Bull Ring, he finished in fourth place overall and at the same time took third place in the Junior category.
He was similarly successful at his third event at Grobnik. The demandingness of the Croatian circuit was further enhanced by the high temperatures. To make matters worse, competition of another identical 34 Twingos was waiting for Kadlečík. And in this competition, Kadlečík set the sixth qualifying time.
For the little Twingo, the narrow track was not a big obstacle. There were plenty of places for overtaking manoeuvres and even four drivers side by side tried to get into the corner. Kadlečík stayed in the top ten, it was important for him not to lose contact with the leading group. And he succeeded with it.
