Dennis Waszek and his yellow Lamborghini Super Trofeo Evo of GT2 Motorsport are the stalwarts of the ESET Cup GTC grid. As in previous years, last year he alternated between Lamborghini and BMW GT3 categories during the weekends and achieved the title in both categories. This year, however, he will concentrate only on the GTC class.
The season is knocking on the door. Are you going to defend your GTC and GT3 endurance titles?
There will be more competition in the GTC class this year, which I’m very excited about because it will be a lot more fun for me and the spectators. For this reason, I will only focus on the GTC category this year and I will give it my all to defend the title.
Are you going to drive the same Lamborghini as in previous seasons?
Yes, I’ll be driving the same Lamborghini Super Trofeo Evo as I have done for the last few seasons and I hope to still be competitive against the newer cars that will be entering this year.
What about starting in other series? You did great in the GT Open last year…
The GT Open was a great experience and I would definitely like to do it again. However, I don’t have anything confirmed yet and any possible starts will probably be decided as the season progresses. I’m still planning to test at Spa-Francorchamps and the Nordschleife, as these are my favourite circuits.
This year will be the first time at Oschersleben. Have you ever been there before?
I tested the VW Golf Cup at Oschersleben a few years ago and I really liked the track because it is very technical. It will definitely be a completely different experience with the Lamborghini and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll be preparing with on-boards and possibly on the simulator.
