The ESET Cup Karting is a series designed for beginning drivers (juniors under 15 years old), offering them a chance to gain valuable experience. The aim of the series is to prepare young talents for advancement into more challenging karting and car racing series.
The series is part of the Sodi World Series, in which over 100,000 drivers from around the world compete. Participants in the ESET Cup come from various parts of Europe, which is why races are held on karting tracks in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria. Nearly forty racers regularly start in the ESET Cup series, which is the second most attended field in the Sodi World Series after Japan. At the end of each season, one representative from each participating country competes in the Sodi World Series global finals.
ESET Cup Karting provides all participants with the necessary equipment for safe racing. Each driver is supplied with a helmet, neck protection, and of course, their own go-kart. This ensures that young drivers can fully focus on improving their skills without having to worry about the basic equipment.
All go-karts used in the races are drawn by lot, so all drivers have equal chances of success (drivers are weighed to 60 kilograms). The go-karts are Sodi LR5 models with a 200cc volume and are painted in Formula 1 team colors.
The ESET Cup Karting is organized by the Slovakia Karting Club (SKC), which holds the necessary permits for holding races on various tracks. Key figures, Marcel Liedl and Martin Suchovský, ensure that each race runs smoothly and according to international standards.
