Czech driver Filip Salaquarda from the I.S.R. team secured another victory in the ESET Cup. After a dominant performance at Autodrom Most, he crossed the checkered flag in first place, ahead of overall runner-up Dennis Waszek, who claimed victory in the GTC category.
Salaquarda set the fastest time in the morning qualifying session and had the inside line on the starting grid. Behind him, other GT3 cars lined up on the inside, including Miro Konopka’s Lamborghini, Libor Milota’s Mercedes, and Gregor Zsigo’s BMW. On the outside line, the GTC category cars were led by Dennis Waszek in a Lamborghini, followed by his teammates Jáchym Galáš and Matěj Pavlíček, also driving Lamborghinis.
Waszek had the best start, utilizing the more powerful engine of his Lamborghini to briefly take the lead. However, he missed the braking point at the first chicane and had to maneuver through the escape zone among the tires. Salaquarda reclaimed the lead, while Waszek dropped back to second place overall and first in the GTC category.
The race order was Salaquarda, Waszek, Konopka, Galáš, Milota, and Pavlíček. Vašek Janík held the first position in the GTX category, placing seventh overall.
Milota quickly passed Galáš and started closing the gap to Konopka, reducing it by two tenths of a second per lap. Eventually, Konopka made it easier for Milota by braking too late at the first chicane and taking a similar escape route as Waszek. Milota moved up one position, and Konopka had to defend against Galáš and Pavlíček.
The battle among the three Lamborghinis entertained the spectators for several laps. Experienced driver Konopka defended his position, while Galáš struggled to find a way past. The duel between them was resolved with less than five minutes remaining in the race. Konopka went slightly off track in the penultimate corner, allowing Galáš and Pavlíček to move ahead. Konopka then headed straight to the pits.
There were no further changes in the race order until the end, and Filip Salaquarda secured his sixth victory out of seven starts. Dennis Waszek finished the race in second place, celebrating his first win in the GTC category this season. Libor Milota was classified second in GT3 behind Salaquarda, with Petr Kačírek from Duck Racing in an Audi R8 finishing third. Gregor Zsigo with the BMW M4 GT4 came fourth, and Miro Konopka took fifth place.
In the GTC classification, Jáchym Galáš and Matěj Pavlíček finished behind winner Waszek. Jakub Klobásek with the black Lamborghini claimed fifth place, and Petr Brecka with the Porsche 911 finished sixth.
Václav Janík with the KTM GTX emerged as the winner in the GTX category, leaving behind Pavel Sovička in an identical car from the RTR projects team.
