Jakub Kubas focused on endurance races last year and he had finished 4th in the overall standings of ESET MMSR. However, that is something he wants to change for 2018.
What are your plans for this season?
They are definitely big. I’d like to return to the top and win as many races as possible. To achieve that, I’ll use the great BMW M6 GT3 car prepared by guys from Racing Trevor team, which is working closely with our team Appstores Motorsport. We’ve been racing with Racing Trevor for years and we are good friends, so there was no need to think about changing teams.
There is a new addition to the calendar – Automotodrom Grobnik circuit. Have you ever been there before? Or is it going to be your first time?
So far, I know the circuit only from onboard videos. But I’ll be preparing on our team’s simulator over the season. It looks like a pretty interesting track so I’m looking forward to it.
Which ESET MMSR track suits you the most?
It’s hard to say where I think I’ll be strong. However, I know that some circuits suit our car better than others. Anyway, we’ll be doing our best to be fastest on every circuit.
It is going to be a sixth season for ESET MMSR, what do you think about the series?
I think that there are more and more beautiful fast cars every year, which makes me very happy. It means that the competition is getting bigger and that pushes us forward.
