James Egozi, a driver for PHM Racing team, has secured his first pole position in the ACCR Czech Formula Championship. Egozi clocked a time of 1:31.581, two tenths of a second faster than Michael Sauter from Sauter Engineering + Design, who will start the afternoon race in second place.
Egozi’s teammate from Thailand, Nandhavud Bhiromhakdi, will start from third place, alongside Reno Francot from Jenzer Motorsport. The third row will be dominated by Jenzer Motorsport, who have entered three Formula 4 cars for the Red Bull Ring race. Mathias Bjerre Jakobsen clocked the fifth fastest time, with Ethan Ischer, the winner of both races at Hungaroring, in sixth place.
Niko Tylor and Jiří Šafránek from Renauer Motorsport team will start from seventh and eighth place respectively. Miroslav Mikeš from SAPE Motorsport came in ninth, while Oliver Michl from Gender Racing Team rounded off the top ten.
The Saturday race is scheduled to start at 16:15.
