Marcin Jedlinsky Becomes Sunday Winner after Chlad´s Penalisation

The finish line of the second race of the ESET Sprint at the Hungaroring was first crossed by the pilot of K&K Racing team Richard Chlad Jr. Shortly after the race the circuit commissioners came up with a five-second penalisation for overtaking under yellow flags and thus the victory was enjoyed by the Polish pilot of the Olimp Racing team Marcin Jedlinsky.

After Jedlinsky´s Audi the third rank belonged to the winner of the GTC category Josef Záruba with his Lamborghini Huracan representing the colours of Mičánek Motorsport.

And it was this very Záruba, and Chlad, who amused the Hungarian spectators most. Their duel wheel-by-wheel, or rather door-to-door, could sooner be compared to the battles among passenger cars.

“It was real tight. I enjoyed the duel with Jožka very much,“ said Richard Chlad before the podium ceremony. His mate returned the compliment in a similar way:
“Richard is a very experienced pilot. Our duel was tight but fair. I did enjoy today´s race, I must say.“

The two Audi R8 LMS the third rank in the GT3 category belonged to Jakub Knoll with his BMW M6 GT3 of Šenkýř Motorsport. Záruba was joined on the podium in the GTC category by Maťo Konopka (ARC Bratislava) and Dennis Waszek (Rock Robots), starting with the same cars, i.e. Lamborghini Huracane Super Trofeo.

In the GT3 Trophy class the historically first victory belonged to Tomáš Erdélyi with an older model of BMW Z4 GT3, leaving behind him Lubomír Jakubík with Ferrari 458 GT and Kálmán Bodis in BMW Z4 GT.

His first success in ESET MMSR category D5 was also achieved by Jiří Svoboda and his prototype Norma M20FC of Janík ACCR Czech team. His team mate Petr Lisa ranked second with his prototype LMP3.

The thirteen-lap battle of touring cars of the ESET TCR category was won by Milovan Vesnič of ASK Vesnič team. The second rank, with a six-second loss, was occupied by Márk Jedlóczky in Seat Leon (JLG Sport Nonprofit) and the wining trio was complemented by the winner of the Saturday race Bálint Hatvani with his Alfa Romeo.

The imaginary potato medal was “received” by the pilot of the Křenek Motorsport team, who improved his taste after yesterday´s failed endurance race with his new Audi R3 LMS.
The pilots of ESET MMSR will now have a five-week break after which they will all meet again for another two races at the Austrian Red Bull Ring.
