The evening endurance race at the Slovakia Ring belonged to the German-Slovak duo Max Hesse and Antal Zsigo from Racing Trevor team. Their BMW M4 GT3 fought its way to the front in the second half of the race and stayed there until the finish.
Starting from pole position were the pairs Dennis Waszek – Gregor Zsigo alongside Reinhard Kofler – Tomáš Miniberger. Their KTM took the lead after the red lights went out, but Waszek immediately attacked to regain the top spot. Watching this close battle was Adam Konopka, and thus a fierce contest for the overall lead ensued among the KTM, BMW, and Lamborghini cars.
However, the evening endurance race was primarily about stamina and driver changes during pitstops in the first half. The order kept changing depending on which driver was behind the wheel and who was getting ready to take over.
The BMW M4 GT3 of Racing Trevor team confirmed its hot favorite status. Starting driver Antal Zsigo maintained a fast pace, but once the experienced BMW factory driver Max Hesse took the wheel, he set the fastest lap times and moved into the lead.
Zsigo and Hesse’s crew won the endurance race with a nearly twenty-second lead over Miro Konopka and Zdeno Mikuláško in a Lamborghini Huracán GT3. The first two cars in the overall standings represented the GT3 category, with the pair Waszek – Zsigo finishing third in the same category.
In the GTX category, Adam Konopka won with a Lamborghini ahead of Reinhard Kofler – Tomáš Miniberger in a KTM GTX. Behind them finished the local duo Viktor Mráz and Maťo Homola. Fourth place went to Petr Koukola – Václav Janík with a KTM GTX.
In the GTC1 classification, Hubert Darmetko and Mateusz Lisowski with a Porsche 911 took the victory. The Polish duo from PTT Racing finished ahead of Petr Brecka and Karel Neffe, third-place Franz Lahmer and his teammate from Kogelbauer Motorsport, Bob Bau. Radek Kolařík finished fourth in GTC1.
Rudolf Beňo won in the GT4 category. The expected battle between the Slovak driver and the pair Szabolcz Lantos – Mihajlo Mladenovic did not happen, as they withdrew with their Mercedes after just nine laps.
