Milan Galáš debuted in ESET MMSR’s GTC category last year. Right away he was able to find a speed in his Porsche car and he managed to finish 3rd in the season. He wants to do the same this year, but he will be busier as he wants to help his son who switches to car racing.
What plans do you have for this season?
I’ll race with the same car as last year. We just had to check it and we had to refurbish gearbox, dampers and things like that.
What are your expectations for your 2nd season in ESET?
I expect much bigger competition in the GTC category, so it may be difficult to finish 3rd again. However, my oldest son Jáchym will be racing in ESET with Renault Clio cup cars, so I’m going to do my best to help him. He had only raced in karts before.
How does your winter preparation look like?
I usually train in a gym in the winter. And before we can start testing with our cars, I like to do some karting with KZ2 karts.
What do you think about the ESET MMSR and Czech-Slovak circuit racing scene in general?
I think that our circuit racing scene is doing quite well. We have some of the most advanced cars in our races, which are driven by very fast drivers. Also, our events enjoy a great organisation. Then we have two tracks that are on Formula 1’s calendar and there is a great media coverage, which is very important for our business partners.
