Tomáš Miniberger leads the GT4 Endurance series ahead of the final race of the season. But the RTR Projects driver still needs to fight.
The final round of the season takes place at Hungaroring on October 24-25 and the championship battle is still wide open for both GT4 series – Sprint and Endurance.
After the first three rounds of the Endurance season, it is Tomáš Miniberger who leads the championship with his own RTR Projects team. He has two victories and one 2nd place finish. While he crossed the finish line in 1st position in Grobnik (with Petr Lisa) and Brno (with Sergej Pavlovec), he had to settle for 2nd place at Slovakia Ring (with Filip Sajler). He has 34 points in total.
But the Czech driver still needs to fight. He is only 5 points ahead of Ferenc Ficza from Trevor Racing. The Hungarian driver started the season with a 3rd place finish in Grobnik, where he raced with Gregor Zsigo. In the following races, Ficza was joined by Lubomír Jakubík and together they managed to win at Slovakia Ring and finish 2nd in Brno.
However, there are still a few more drivers who hold a theoretical chance to still come out on top of the standings. They are Lubomír Jakubík (21.5 points), Filip Sajler (16.5 points), Petr Lisa (12.5 points) and Sergej Pavlovec (12.5 points).
