The debut of the silver Audi LMS GT3 in the ESET Cup was a resounding success. Petr Fulín built on his victory in the GT3 category from the previous day, clinching another win on Sunday. The Autodrom Most also saw success for Josef Záruba and former TCR Eastern Europe champion Bartosz Groszek.
Petr Fulín in his Audi LMS GT3 and Josef Záruba in a Lamborghini Super Trofeo started from the front row. Behind them were Bartosz Groszek in a Porsche 911 and Hermann Speck from the P9 Challenge championship.
Josef Záruba, with his Lamborghini’s superior acceleration, took the lead from Petr Fulín before the first chicane. Petr Brecka made a fantastic start from sixth place, braking late on the outside and moving into third position at the chicane. Following them were Groszek and Hubert Darmetko, who were all vying for honours in the GTC1 category. After two laps, Groszek overtook Brecka and took the lead in his category.
Meanwhile, Petr Fulín passed overall leader Záruba, but this did not affect their positions in their respective categories. Fulín maintained first place in the GT3 classification, while Záruba led the GTC category.
After eight laps, the safety car was deployed. Alex Tlustý’s Praga R1 had come to a halt on the track, prompting yellow flags across the circuit. After five laps behind the safety car, racing resumed. Fulín held onto the overall lead with Záruba close behind.
The race concluded without any changes at the front. Petr Fulín secured his second victory of the weekend, achieving a perfect debut with the Audi LMS GT3 in Most. Martin Hudec finished second in the GT3 category with an older generation Audi R8 GT3, and Antal Zsigo came third in a BMW M6 GT3.
In the GTC category, Josef Záruba from Mičánek Motorsport took the win. In the GTC1 classification, reserved for Porsche 911 cup cars, Bartosz Groszek from Aditis Racing triumphed, ahead of Petr Brecka from GT Sports Technology. Hubert Darmetko from PTT Racing finished third.
In the GTX category, Petr Koukola celebrated another victory with the Orlen Janík Motorsport team’s KTM GTX. Tim Gábor was classified second with a Lotus Exige, and Ivan Vlachkov came third in a Sin Car.
Among the GT4 cars, Rudolf Beňo in a BMW M4 GT4 emerged as the winner. Pavel Sovička finished second, marking a successful ESET Cup debut with a Lotus Emira, and Ivan Hrženjak took third place in a Porsche Cayman.
