The approaching race weekend of the ESET Cup at the Grobnik circuit in Croatia on 23th and 24th July also means another fights for wins for the Clio Cup drivers, where three competitors have a chance for the title.
Tobias Poschik, Miha Primožič and Szabolcs Lantos hold the first three places in the standing. The leader Poschik from the Carpek Service team leads the standing with 112 points after two wins and three second places.
Second place is held by Miha Primožič from the Lema Racing team. The Slovenian driver, who started in the Clio Cup unlike his two rivals in the past, collected a total of 79 points, although he is still waiting for his first victory this season.
Szabolcs Lantos from the NNR Team Hungary won first race at the opening event at the Hungaroring, but he did not do well at the second event in Austria and therefore currently holds third place with 74 points, 38 points behind Poschik.
Poschik will start at Grobnik for the first time in his career. The exactly 4,168 km long track will definitely be a challenge for him, as well as for other drivers who have started here in the past. The circuit was built in 1978 and its profile corresponds to the time of its creation. Fast corners, guardrails close to the track or small escape zones means, that the circuit don´t forgive mistakes.
