Most of the traditional endurance categories have already been decided, but there is still an ongoing championship battle in the GTC cup cars category. That will end at the Automotodrom Brno.
Marcin Jedlinski dominates the GT3 category this year with his Audi R8 LMS GT3 prepared by Olimp team. The Polish driver has managed to win all the races so far and he has already secured his championship title. His nearest rivals Mateusz Lisowski has 60 points less than Jedlinski and he is also Jedlinski’s teammate in the endurance championship.
The GT3 Trophy is pretty much decided as well. Lubomír Jakubík leads with 82 points, while second Gregor Zsigo is five points behind. However, both drivers share the same car in the endurance races, which means that he cannot beat Jakubík. Tomáš Erdélyi holds the third place but he is 22 points behind, so not even a win could move him into a championship lead.
Csaba Toth and Gabor Kismarty-Lechner have secured an overall win in the Endurance TCR championship after being on the podium in almost every single race. They did not make it to the Top 3 on only one occasion, together they have also won two races with their SEAT Leon. Currently, they have 80 points and a massive gap to their nearest rival Martin Rival, who has only 35 points.
The only remaining battle is in GTC cup cars category. Miro and Maťo Konopka are currently in the lead with 55 points with their Lamborghini Huracán. Dennis Waszek, who also drives Lamborghini Huracán, is second and has 44 points. With nine points between the first and second places, it is clear, that nothing is over yet. Milan Galáš and Libor Milota also have a chance, though it is more of a mathematical chance – they are currently third in the standings with their Porsche 911 and they are 17 points behind Konopka.
