The big finale is coming and there is still plenty to fight over

On the second weekend of September, the ESET MMSR will have its final race of the season at Automotodrom Brno and a lot of drivers will be battling for the championship titles.

Let’s start with ESET Sprint series where in very popular GT3 races, cup specials and TCR touring cars nothing is still decided and it is all wide open. However, some drivers are closer to the win than others.

Marcin Jedlinski and Olimp team with Audi R8 LMS are dominating this year’s GT3 category. He has not been beaten since Austria and has won six races, but there is still a mathematical chance for Richard Chlad jr. from K&K Racing, who also drives Audi R8 LMS team. Chlad jr. is currently 33 points behind Jedlinski, which means that to keep his championship hopes alive, he must win in the first sprint race and Jedlinski has to finish sixth or worse. For Jedlinski the situation is much better as he only has to finish fifth or better to celebrate the championship win.

In the GT3 Trophy category, there are only 20 points between two best drivers. Lubomír Jakubík of Trevor Racing currently leads the championship with 110 points, while his closest rival Tomáš Erdélyi, both are from Slovakia, has 90 points. And because the difference is so small, surely their battles will be very interesting. But it is even tighter in a battle for the 3rd place, as there are only 3 points between Bodis and Gregor Zsigo.

The round at Slovakia did not go very well for Dennis Waszek with Lamborghini Huracan in the GTC category, which means that Josef Záruba and Mičánek Motorsport team have managed to increase their lead to 23 points.

In the TCR category is a championship battle between Milovan Vesnič with SEAT Cupra and Václav Nimč jr. with Audi RS3. The Czech driver has improved a lot in the recent races, but he is still losing 24 points to Vesnič and his chances on winning TCR championship are not very big.
