The ESET Historic Cup automotive championship, which fosters friendship and enthusiasm for vintage sports cars, will return for the 10th time in 2024 to revive motor racing history.
The series, attracting participants from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary each year, focuses on maintaining historic racing vehicles in excellent condition and showcasing them at famous circuits like the Slovakia Ring or in Piešťany.
Competitors are judged not only on speed but also on consistency, striving to achieve the smallest possible time difference per lap.
Since 2023, the series has seen an increase in the total number of participants to 56, including 42 scored racers and 12 participants from the Czech Republic competing outside the scoring system. For 2024, five new racers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia have registered, and in the women’s category, which has been evaluated for the third year, the ESET Historic Cup will welcome three new female participants from Slovakia.
The 2024 calendar plans for four regularity race events and vehicle presentations during the Slovakia Grand Prix at Slovakiaring, the Autosalon Nitra, and the Brno circuit within the Grand Prix Revival.
