The season is coming to end, drivers are getting ready for the Slovakian Grand Prix

ESET MMSR season is slowly coming to an end. Drivers are now preparing for the fourth and also penultimate round of the season at Slovakia Ring, which will see an important battle for every championship point available.

Fans will get to see a lot of Motorsport action this weekend as once again there will be a full grid featuring touring cars, sports cars and also single-seaters.

It is also one of the last opportunities for Richard Chlad jr. to catch up with Marcin Jedlinský, who is dominating the ESET Sprint series with his Audi R8 LMS GT3. Chlad jr. is currently 18 points behind, which is not that much, as there are 20 points available for a win. The Czech driver has managed to reduce the gap even more after a successful appeal against a penalty that he had received at Hungaroring. Jakub Knoll is third, but he is already losing 35 points to Chlad jr.

After two wins at Grobnik, Lubomír Jakubík is enjoying a safe lead ahead of Tomáš Erdélyi in GT3 Trophy and it is very similar in the TCR with Milovan Vesnič. A very close championship battle is expected in the GTC sports car category, with Josef Záruba in Lamborghini Huracán leading ahead of Denisz Waszek by just three points.

A similar situation applies to Endurance series as well, where Jedlinski is currently dominating, as well as a duo Csaba Tóth – Gábor Kismarty-Lechner in TCR. But in GTC and in GT3 Trophy it is incredibly close, because of Josef Záruba/Bronislav Formánek vs. Denisz Waszek and Lubomír Jakubík vs. Gregor Zsigo vs. Tomáš Erdélyi battles. One of the specifics for the Slovakia Ring will be a two-hour long endurance race instead of just one hour, which is going to be much more difficult for the drivers and the cars as well.

Michal Makeš seems to be unbeatable in the Clio Cup season so far and it will be very interesting to see if he can dominate in Slovakia as well. Similarly, David Wassermann is unstoppable in Cruze Cup, while Twingo Cup is very competitive with Kramer brothers and Tomáš Trček fighting for the championship lead.

Andrea Cola and Paulo Brajnik put on a great show at Grobnik with Formula 3 cars, the same two drivers are now also battling for the overall first place in the championship. Cola is currently leading the championship having 31 points lead. In Formula 3 Trophy it is a one-man show with Bartolomiej Mirecki winning all the races so far.

Slovakia Ring is 5,922 metres long and is located 40 kilometres to the east from Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia. The construction started in October 2008 and the circuit was finished one year later. Its designer is an experienced Austrian architect Hans Roth, who is behind similar projects in Austria and Hungary.
