The Twingo Cup Championship is part of this weekend’s Racing Journal SpeedFest at the Autodrom Most circuit. Nearly twenty Twingo cars will line up for two races, featuring predominantly Slovenian drivers along with members of the F4 CEZ Academy.
Among the competitors is Nik Poljanec, the current leader of the Twingo Cup standings. In the season’s opening event at Balaton Park, he won one race and finished second in the other. He leads the standings with 43 points, followed by Samuel Sládečka, who will not be competing in Most.
The Twingo Cup also serves as a training ground for members of the F4 CEZ Academy, including Michelle Jandová, František Němec, and Martin Knápek, the academy champion. Among the local drivers are Richard Král and Petr Brecka, the latter usually racing a Porsche 911 in the ESET Cup but choosing to try out the small Twingo in Most.
