Nik Stefančič and Luka Glazer took the glory during Round 2 of the Twingo Cup season at Slovakiaring. While Stefančič won the first race of the weekend, Glazer celebrated a victory in the second race.
The Round 2 of the season took place at Slovakiaring. As usual, the Twingo Cup category was part of it, offering a very competitive grid and tight battles as always. It is worth mentioning that the gap between 1st and 4th places was less than a second in both races.
Nik Stefančič had the best start of the weekend, taking the victory in the first race. The Slovenian, who led the championship after the opening round at Hungaroring, won ahead of Luka Glazer by just 0.160 seconds. Tom A. Gruenfeld finished in 3rd place.
Also, in the second race, it was all about Stefančič and Glazer. However, this time it was Glazer who got the race-winning trophy, after beating Stefančič by 0.047 seconds.
Both drivers were joined on the podium by Urban Jelovčan, who finished in 3rd position, taking his 3rd podium this season. At Hungaroring, he finished in 3rd and 2nd positions. In Slovakia, he just missed out on the podium in the first race, finishing in 4th place.
Matej Ivanuša, who won the 2nd race at Hungaroring, did not take any trophy home from Slovakiring. He finished in 5th and 8th places.
Also, the ESET Race Star programme for talented racing drivers had its entry on the grid in Mihajlo Mladenović. He showed his talent by finishing in 2nd place in the opening race of the weekend at Hungaroring. In Slovakia, he crossed the line in 9th place in the first race, but he did not finish the second one. Yet, he was classified in 23rd place in the end.
