Tobias Poschik started from pole position alongside Michael Hulm, but it was Hulm who went into the lead of the race and moved local driver Poschik to second place. Miha Primožič kept the third position and Tomáš Pekař moved behind him in the less powerful fifth-generation Clio.
Hulm was not able to create a safe margin and Poschik attacked him constantly. However defensively driving Hulm held his position in every occasion. Primožič took advantage of their fights in the third lap and overtook Poschik and then Hulm.
Primožič seemed to be on his way to winning the race, however, in the sixth lap with a flat tire stopped him and he had to retire. Hulm and Poschik moved into the first two places again, meanwhile Pekař, the leader of the Clio V group, watched the first two from distance.
At the end of the race, Hulm was able to drive a bit faster and gain some safety margin from Poschik, who was penalised by two second after the race for extending track limits. It didn´t really matter for him, because he had big margin from third Libor Horák.
So Michael Hulm from Steibel Motorsport became the winner of Clio Cup at first attempt. Second was Tobias Poschik from the Carpek Service team. Poschik’s teammate Libor Horák, who overtook Fischer in the last moments of the race took third place in Clio. Thomas Fischer (MSC Rottenegg) had to settle for fourth place and the first five finishers of the Clio Cup IV was completed by Valter Nežič (AK Buzet Motorsport).
Dominant Tomáš Pekař won the Clio V classification and his teammate from Carpek Service Henrik Seibel finished second.
