The second single-seater race of the final round at Hungaroring was spiced up with wet track and a little bit of rain. Drivers had to start with wet tyres, so they all chose to be careful in the first few laps. Paolo Brajnik started well from pole position, staying in the lead and it all started to look like he is set to take another victory, after his previous win on Saturday in dry conditions.
However, Brajnik lost control of his car at the end of the first lap and he remained stationary on the track. That forced the Safety Car out, with Matěj Kacovský taking the lead. After yesterday’s bad luck, when his car caught fire on the grid, he made up for it on Sunday, by taking the overall victory.
In the F3 category, Ralph Pütz finished in 1st place ahead of Antonín Sus. In the F4 category, the podium remained the same as on Saturday, with Benjamin Berta winning ahead of Patrick Schober.
